This bronze sculpture, completed during the final semester of my BFA, began as a focused study in texture. The original form was sculpted in clay, digitally scanned, and 3D printed using a meltable PLA—similar to wax—before being cast in bronze through the ancient lost-wax casting process. While the initial clay form did not contain the layered lines introduced by 3D printing, their presence created a striking surface quality reminiscent of fingerprints. Recognizing their visual and tactile beauty, I chose to preserve these lines in the final bronze. The title of the piece draws inspiration from the resonant sounds produced while working the form with metal tools, as well as the rich, robust texture that defines its surface.
