This work is part of an original series of small sculptures created to document my personal transformation—from a career in the Air Force, to wife and mother, and ultimately to artist. The use of marred and pitted industrial waste pipe, shaped by years of use and then discarded in a salvage yard, mirrors that journey. Through its transformation into a new, intentional form, the material reflects my own evolution in life, where experience, wear, and change become sources of strength and beauty.
